Not for lung cancer, but for breast cancer, Thursday mammo, and Friday the surgeon for the next operation, he already operated me 8 times on the same breast, I call it cut and tuck and only once cancer was present (5 days in hospital 1999). I refused all treatments and medication and I'm still here. It will be the first time I go alone, Mike always came with me, even on September 24th last year, 3 weeks before he died. So now I will have to face these appointments alone. J.C.

I always laugh at the way doctors talk. You wait a month and a half for an appointment and the doctor says, ''I wish you'd come to me sooner.'' I have breast cancer (glycogen-rich breast cancer) we are about 2 in the world with that kind of cancer all the others, 31 of them are dead, but I am still here 4 1/2 years later. I try to enjoy each day, even if it is very hard now that my husband is gone, but as long as I make the statistics wrong, I'll give it a try. J.C.

Another idea, Since 1999 I have been making earrings (pierced ears) for cancer. I send most of them to New Zealand and to Australia to the hospices and they are well appreciated, so if it could help, let me know. With the amount I last sent (1,000 pairs) they are OK for a while, so if you want let me know. J.C.

I think we all go shopping for the days we know will be there too soon. Mike and I went to buy some beautiful pajamas and slippers in case he had to go to the hospital, the clerk, surprised at the price we were ready to pay asked Mike, if he was getting married and going on a trip. Mike answered, married I am, going on a trip yes. The clerk wanted to know where he was going. Mike told him as it was going to be his last trip, he wanted the best and that he was soon going to die from lung cancer. The clerk nearly fainted. We left laughing like fools. Many of our shopping trips turned in hilarious times, that I still cherish now. Laughter always helped us in the tight spots. J.C.

I met a some time ago a scientist that wrote for cancer all types and presented a paper in Europe about LUNG CANCER and he proved that smoking was not the cause of it. His name is Leuben, I will try to fin him again, he lives in Montreal Canada. J.C.
