  1. Welcome mwga and ts! Thanks so much for sharing your stories. It's always good for survivors to hear from other survivors, as it is good for caregivers to hear as well. It always offers hope to those just strating out. I hope you'll both stick around and let us get to know your and you get to know all of us. This is a great place to connect with those that understand what your going through. Again, WELCOME! When you have time, feel free to read over my story below. I'm a 13 + year survivor.

  6. Sorry to hear this Becky. Glad your taking it so well. My girlfriend works for Qwest (phone comp) and about 5 years ago they did the same thing with 150 employee's. She said they treated people like common criminals. Sucks! I'm sure you'll move onto bigger and better. Stay positive!
  7. I am very sorry to hear of your Uncle and I'm sorry for the passing of your Grandmother. I was wondering if you have checked with the ACOR BOARD? www.acor.org They have a list of cancer's on that board, but I wonder if maybe just a "ALL CANCERS" Board might be of help to you? There MIGHT be soneone who has what your Uncle has,or maybe they know of someone. I wish you all the best.
  8. Sending you Get Well Wishes Linda! Stay Positive and lets just plan on this going away and all being just fine! ((((LINDA))))

She was a Police Despatcher for many years. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin, friend and she WILL be missed. Bye Bye Mary Jo, until we meet again my friend! 14. Mary Jo was a member and Good Friend to my In Person LC Support Group AND she was a member here at LCSC. Although she didn't post often, she fought long and hard to beat this monster that lurks within so many of us, and during that time she offered friendship, support and information to others. My heart aches for I have lost a Great Friend on Christmas day and I will forever miss her until we meet again. 15. Very nice to see you. Hope you had a wondeful holdiay.
  16. I feel your pain, more then you know. ((((((((((DENISE))))))))))) You just keep loving your grandbaby and being in her life, it'll all work out. Deep Breath In, blow it out. You'll get through this minute by minute. second by second. Just remember she's within reach.
  17. Oh Chris, I have NO DOUBT that what your living in is SO DEVESTATING!! Maurie & I got caught in a snow/ice storm in Oklahoma a few years ago, and that was HALF of what you've been dealing with. When we were in it, the entire town was closed down for 3 days and that was UNREAL to us but they didn't lose power in most of the area. So, I'm SURE what your going through has to be pure HELL! Plus I have been seeing on the weather and world news that you guys are still getting hit with ton's of snow on TOP of all that ice! I can NOT imagine. They did say on the News that they had no idea how long it would be before some of those people get power in your area and outer cities. I am SO GLAD your okay and things are starting to turn around for you. This has already been a crazy winter for so many states, but you guys really got hit! Glad to have you back. It felt empty not having you here. ((((Chris)))))
  18. Hey Linda, That's AWESOME NEWS! It's funny that we look forward to hearing anything other then that it might be the cancer? Infection is a GOOD thing for a cancer patient! One of my In Person LC Support Group Members (who passed away 3 years ago) use to get so excited when he would end up with anything NON RELATED TO CANCER. He had a disc in his back that crushed and I'm not kidding you, he called me from the hospital and this man was just THRILLED it was a crushed disc and NOTHING to do with his lung cancer. He also one time had a bleed ulcer and again, he was thrilled it wasn't lung cancer. He was a Pillar of Strength and SOOOO POSITIVE & HOPEFUL. He was a stage IV and lived for 4 years and 9 months. He wanted to make it to five but God had other plans for him. But, if it's not cancer, it's a GOOD THING! As for the levaquin, I've been on it and it's a very powerful antibiotic. It also is noted to cause yeast infection. Drink a LOT of water with this pill. It's kills bad bacteria and good too. I had to take it with food. And I'm sorry to say the levaquin the last time I was on it made me nausetated. Hang in there, and know I'm cheering you on.

  23. Welcome Richard, and CONGRATULATIONS on 5+ years!! Love to hear these hopful stories. I too am a LC Survivor (Stage IIIA- it's 13+ years for me. I won't bore you with details but you can read my story by clicking on the link below this message. I hope you'll stay with us and offer hope to those starting and those fighting this monster and let us get to know you. This is a great group of people.
  24. I know you and I have been in touch, but it honestly is good to see you post to the board. Love to see that smiling face! (((((((((((((((((((((((CAROLE))))))))))))))))))))))))) It's Another Great Day To Be Alive!
  25. Hi Friends, I know several of you have been concerned about our Christine (Chris). Well, she just called me and told me she is just devestated and in SHOCK over the Ice storm that hit them. She said it's like a War Zone. She has heat and her hubby Frank went into town and got a generator so they have electricity. They have no clue as to when they will get power back. She said all her tree tops are gone and trees were cracking all around them and snapping off with a horrible sound. She said, you just can't believe this or imagine how horrible it is. POOR CHRIS and all those that live in that town. She has taken pictures but is unable to share them with us as of yet. She will when she gets back on line. But for now she just has her I-phone and it's to hard for her to type on that. Her mom lives 20 miles from her and her mom's area didn't get hit. So depending how long this goes, Chris did say they might be going to stay with her mom in time to come. Keep her in your prayers. She said she'll take all she can get right now. I'll keep you updated if I hear more.
