  1. Hello everyone. I am new to the website. I have recently learned about it through a walk that my family participated in. My mother was diagnosed with NSCLC stage IV in Feb. At that time she had a 4cm tumor that had spread to her brain and a 3.6cm tumor in her lung. She had a craniotomy to remove the tumor in her brain and then we started radiation to her brain because there were two smaller ones. She has been in great spirits the through the whole length of this but we never get any good news. She has been through radiation to her whole head, to her hip and to her femur. She is on her second type of chemo and things are not well when she is not taking steroids. I fear that her peace is coming closer and I was wondering if anyone could share signs of losing their loved ones. I have been her caregiver throughout the whole process and I have read everything there is to read and I just want to prepare myself as it nears. In September on her bone scan and full MRI we were told that she had 4 tumors in her liver, one in her adrenal gland, two in her brain, large ones in her legs, and new lesions in her chest. Any conversations about this would be wonderful and thank you to everyone who has posted their stories.. they have been wonderful to read. Thank you so much and I look forward to meeting and talking with you all.
