  1. Don, You are such an inspiration! Your common sense approach and mental outlook are so logical. Congratulations on your milestones, and I hope I can follow your lead! As I tell my friends and family, I have too many more people left to annoy, before I check out. God bless us all and may he continue to give us the strength to keep up the battle! Katie
  2. Hi Marianne, I had a lovely crop of white peach fuzz when I started PCI, and alas it all fell out a few days after I finished.....EXCEPT, a ring around the base of my skull and neck, giving me a slight Friar Tuck look. I'm glad someone else thought the mask was the spittin image of Hannibel Lector!! I subsequently went back on chemo, and even my Friar Tuck hair vanished......hair today, gone tomorrow. I like your style! Wear that sucker for Halloween! Keep smiling! Katie
  3. I, too had and continue to have a problem with low sodium. It kept me in the hospital for a few days longer, when I was first diagnosed. As it was explained to me, it is caused by a hormone which is released by the cancer and effects your electrolytes, which sodium is one. The danger of low sodium is that it can effect kidney function, and ultimately lead to kidney failure. During my remission period, not surprisingly, my sodium was fine. Now I have another active tumor and have been taking thermotabs ( salt pills) to keep my sodium level up. It's a sticky wicket and something they will monitor, but it's not an insurmountable issue. Keep your chin up!!
