  1. My Mom is taking Emed and Zofran IV and orally as needed after with her Taxotere treatments. Her nickname is the "Puking Queen" so it may not be so hard on your Mom's tummy, but I say better safe than sorry. Why take the chance, because once you start vomiting, it is hard to stop it.
  2. Ann, this is the hardest I have laughed in a long time, ROFLMWigO!!!! ~Gina
  3. Hi Tammy. My Mom is going through her second primary breast cancer in 10 years and her surgeon automatically installed a port when she had her second mastectomy (10-30-06). She is grateful for the port, as my husband's grandmother had serious complications due to the chemo being injected directly into her veins. She has never has a problem with her port. Best Wishes, ~Gina
  4. ROFLMWigO!!! Thats is so funny....and in that vein, Speaking of husband/wife miscommunication, I have one for you, Mr. Ry.... The night before their wedding anniversay a woman says to her husband, "when I wake up in the morning, I'd better see something in the driveway that goes 0 - 260 in 6 seconds". The next morning she wakes up and looks in the driveway and finds not a car, but a scale sitting in her driveway.
  5. Oh, LOL, those are cute eppie! Last year I went as "Miss Smartie Pants". I glued smarties candies (front and back) all over a pair of old pants. The year before that, I went as "self absorbed" and glued sponges all over myself and made myself a faux sponge head band. That same year my daughter went as a "Freudian Slip"...she wore a slip and a tag around her neck that said "Freud"....I know, I know...big *groan*, he he.
  6. Thanks, Lillian. Connie, I'm sure Lillian shared this in the spirit of simply sharing it as a beautiful story/reminder and NOT to bring people down.
  7. Always and Forever by Heatwave, AL Green, or Luther Vandross (take your pick, LOL)
  8. Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
  9. Hi, Laura, I hope you all have a wonderful and memorable trip . I second what Carleen said about advance notification. A friend of ours recently flew with oxygen and found that it depended on the airline and their individual policies - some completely prohibited it and others were very helpful. A 2005 FAA rule now permits airline companies to allow their passengers the use of portable oxygen tanks during take-off, in flight, and landing, BUT airlines are NOT required to follow the rule. Also, DisneyWorld Orlando and all Florida restaurants are now all smoke free due to a Florida state-wide law (boy do I love that!) Enjoy yourselves no matter where you go! Gina
  10. Oh, Muriel....this is tough, LOL! But for the SAVE, I submit.... ND - The symbol for the element neodymium. So....neodymium
  11. Mine were... Walter Holloway ( the first man I ever loved) and Aleksandr -no middle - Weinskowski (my daughter just gave birth to his namesake on 06-24-2006)
  12. Mine is Marie. I was born on the Feast of Assumption, so the Marie is a tribute to the Blessed Mother.
  13. Carleen, I know this is a very old post of yours - I found it through the search feature, - but someone on a Weight Watcher's thread posted this today and I thought of Keith. Not even sure if it was applicable, but I thought it couldn't hurt to give you all a heads-up. I have no idea WHY it was posted on Weight Watchers, but possibly because those boards get so soooo much traffic or it was a response that got posted as a new topic. Here's the post and link: SIMONGRACE 4/3/2006 6:38:55 PM I'm not sure where you live, but we're doing some great work with neuroendocrine tumors at Ohio State University-James Cancer Hospital. Dr. Shah is the lead physician for this. We have a lot of trials and treatments for this rare cancer. Good luck! http://www.weightwatchers.com/community/mbd/post.aspx?page_size=25&rownum=1&threadpage_no=1&sincedate=4%2f2%2f2006&thread_id=77842540&board_id=10&forum_id=1&thread_name=Neuroendocrine+Cancer&mod_no=&daterange=2days&viewchange=OPENDATEDESC

    A big step

Thank you for sharing your heart and yourself, Lillian, and a big pat on the back for taking the huge step of allowing yourself to honor and relive your memories of Johnny and move forward. You are so wise to realize that everything the two of you shared is in your heart and not in those pieces of paper. Hugs to You, Gina
