  1. Margaret It sounds like you and your mother have a great attitude, so keep it up. Here are some websites you might find helpful. www.sirjasonwinters.com www.fungiperfecti.com My husband just completed 4 months of chemo and his last CT scan showed everything is shrinking and decresing in size. He's handling his treatments like a champ. We give credit to his diet, supplements, vitamins, herbs and of course positive attitude. He drinks only distilled water, green & white tea. Also the tea from Jason Winters website. You will find information on the herb you had questions about on that website. A great book he wrote "Killing Cancer" is a great read. Another book is "Beating Cancer with Nutrition" By Patrick Quillin. I hope this helps. Best of luck and God bless you and your family. Laura
  2. We're are located north of Detroit in Warren. My husband is getting treatments at St John Macomb Hosp. throught the Webber Cancer Center. We are pleased with the Doctor, but I just don't understand why radiation isn't a possibility in the future. We went for a second opinion before starting treatment and that oncologist and radialogist said they'd work with our current oncologist. I am going to send him his lastest ct results and see what they say. Good news today CEA went from 38 to 10.8. Doctors says he's "heading in the right direction", my husband did a HAPPY DANCE
  3. Phyllis There is not such thing as a STUPID question, especially when it comes to cancer. Most likely it is allergies. It's springtime and everyone seems to be sneezing and coughing. If it doesn't get better then definately push your doc for some help. Best of luck
  4. Hello to all you brave souls Can anyone tell me why my husbands doctor doesn't feel radiation is a possibility? He says chemo is the only treatment option. I don't understand this because after reading many postings people with the same stage and cancer are having chemo and radiation. The doc says he would lose to much bone marrow, and if he needs chemo in the future he wouldn't beable to have it. Has anyone heard of such a thing? You just have to wonder if the oncologists is really doing everything in his power to help my husband Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless each and every one of you.
  5. Hello to all of you brave souls This is my first post to the board. I've emailed some of you in the past and you've been great about contacting me. I wanted to let you know that my husband is doing great. His first CT scan since starting chemo in Feb. 2004 showed significant shrinkage and decreasing in size. No new nodules were found either. This is the first good news the oncologist has gave us in four months. Boy did we need that!!! If anyone is interested in nutrition and herbal supplements I'd love to talk with you. My husband is seeing a nutritionist. We feel this is helping a great deal. Nutrition plays a crucial role in a cancer patients life. Remember it's not about how to beat the cancer, but how to SURVIVE it. God bless all of you and your families. Laura (wife of a future cancer survivor)
