    My Dad :(

Tina, I am so sorry this is happening to your family again. I will keep you in my prayers. Nina
  4. Have fun with the puppy kisses. Aren't they darling at that age. Glad Cookie didn't try to run her off. They will be playmates before you know it. Nina
  5. Prayers headed your way Andrea. I hope Jacob breaks the records for growth in such a short time and that 38 weeks is possible. Whatever happens I hope things work out well for all of you. Nina
  6. Congratulations!!! So glad that you are doing so well. Nina
  7. I had surgery, chemo and then radiation. The idea was to make sure any remaining cells were zapped so that the cancer would not spread. I, like Becky, had a node in the mediastinum (sp) that was positive and removed. All the lymph glands on that side were removed. And yes, my heart now has an extra mumur and the remainder of my lung is has scars from the radiation. BUT, and this is a big BUT...I would do it all over again. I have had no treatment since the first rounds and its nearly 4 years since my last radiation. I am upright and look forward to each day. Nina
  8. Sharon, This is a wonderful project. Thanks for doing all of this hard work to all of you that contributed. Just gotta get one soon. Nina
  9. Sounds just like my son at that age...his father ran a building supply and learned a lot of "big" words early. Nina

    The Struggle

Don, When I first came aboard you were one of the first to respond. You have dealt out some wonderful advice and sent up many, many prayers for us all. I will miss you. I felt like I knew you and Lucie from your words about her. You two were a shining example as to how to deal with this disease with dignity and hope. My best to you Don. I hope your new ministry fulfills your need to help others like you have helped so many of us here. Let us know how you are doing and know that you will remain in my prayers. Nina
  12. Andrea, Prayers for all of you. Randi, Jacob, Elizabeth, You and your folks. Think of you often and those little babies. Nina

Dana, I am so sad to hear this news. Please accept my condolences and know that you are in my prayers. Joanie will be missed. Nina
  17. Joanie, you seem to have a magnet in your scar that keeps pulling you back to the hospital. If I were you I would depolarize it for a while. Hopefully they will find nothing wrong except this infection and the antibiotics will heal it quickly. Nina
  18. Welcome to our group. I am so glad you posted your Dad's profile. He sounds like an amazing person. Nina
  19. She is just beautiful. Now you have two cute little dolls. Like someone said...great genes. Nina
  20. Kelly, I don't blame you for being sad and scared. Its that kind of time in your life. You and your mother are inspirations to us all. It takes a lot of courage to make the decision your mother has made and a lot of courage to accept her decision. My prayers are with you all. Nina
  21. Loved it Becky. Had to share with all of my church friends. Nina
  22. Way back in l978 when my father died, I learned to keep at least 1/2 tank in my car. We have a good hospital here but no trama center or heart center. Its 45 miles to the nearest one. If in the middle of the night someone (like my father did) needs to get to a major medical center you sure don't want to have to stop for gas. This sticks in my mind each time I see the 1/2 way mark on my car. Nina
