oh my I was not prepared for this!! It seems every time I visit here another person has passed. Dear sweet Addie! I will miss you're wonderful humour and the encouragment you always showed others. You changed us all somehow. I will always remember the sweet sweet lady we knew as Addie! She is LIVING as Peggy said above us with the Angels and she is no longer sick or fighting this dreaded disease. I am praying for her family that they recieve comfort and strength. We love you Addie! I have been away attending the funeral of my FIL and just got home last night. I came to this board to check on Leslie and could not believe what I have found!! Dear sweet spunky Leslie!! She gave so much of herself here. I always loved reading her posts! She has enriched all our lives to have known her. I am in shock! Prayers for you Mark that you find comfort and strength. She was one hell of a woman and will be dearly missed by all of us. God Bless you, Jane

Dear Larry, I feel you're pain and struggle. It is so hard to see our loved ones in pain. I am praying that she is strong enough to get some benifit from this poison (chemo) as I also think it is. Dear Kel, I know what you mean. My FIL (that just passed 1/19/06) made it to 2006 and that made me so happy. I knew his time was drawing near and I so much wanted him to make 2006. I know its a strange thing but we all understand. I know he was a part of 2006 and as the year changed from 05 to 06 my first thought was "oh , I am so glad he made it to 2006!) Strange, I mean because he is now a part of my past even though he did live some in 2006, but somehow it made me feel better to know he did. God Bless You, Jane

I also have been off the site dealing with my FIL illness and death. I dont know what has happened either. She is in my prayers. God Bless, Jane

Today 1/19/06 I lost my FIL to lung cancer. He is someone I dearly loved and admired. He was dx last January and they told him 6 months and he lived a fairly active and normal life for the better part of 12 months. He initialy had surgery to a brain tumor Jan 05 and then went the path less traveled with no chemo or radiation, Today God took him home. I am sad that I will never on this Earth see him again. Driving to Vermont to visit my Grandmother who was going downhill rapidly. It was a complete white out and we had no heat in the van so we couldnt pull off the road and had to continue forward. My Brother was driving and his wife and I were in the seat behind scared to death! You could barly see what was a foot in front of you. The trip took us 5 hours when we should have been there in 2.
