  1. Dear Beth, Thank you for sharing you're journey with Bill. As unpleasant as the journey was, he always knew you were there and that had to bring him considerable comfort. I am sorry his passing wasent more peaceful though. You are a strong woman and wonderful wife. I was touched by you're post. I had read it earlier but really did not know what to say to you. I am sure it helped you to share it and it helped us to journey along with you. I am praying for strength and comfort for you until you and Bill reunite again. God Bless You Beth, Jane

  8. Ginny, I met my husband online . He was from Oklahoma and I live in NH. We talked on line and on the phone for 8 months before we met in person. When he came to meet me he spent 2 weeks here, by the time he left we knew we wanted to spend our lives together ( we actually knew it before he came !) He went home and gave his notice at work, said goodby to his family and friends and was back here in a months time. We were married about a month and 1'2 after his return and have now been married 7 years and I have NEVER been happier. I wish you the best!! God Bless, Jane

  14. Please accept my sympathies for you and you're family on the passing of you're Dad. I too think it is an honor to be there and hold his hand as he leaves this world and goes to Heaven. I held my Brother's hand all that day and until he took his final breath and it was truly an honor to tell him how much I loved him and have him know I was there. I am so happy you're dad was able to talk with you're Mother and you the night before and to express his love. What a blessing.I pray for comfort and strength for you're family. God Bless You All, Jane
  15. Ginny, Very cool! I agree with Ann that forget about the looks and get to know this man that took care of his wife as you did you're Hubby. I also agree that I just cant fathom it has been a year and 1/2 since you lost you're Earl. I wouldnt dismiss this person Ginny, keep talking and see if there is a reason to actually meet. I too am glad to see you living and considering a new mate in you're future. You deserve it!! I promise I wont poke him with sticks, I think there are enough willing pokers here LMAO!! God Bless You Ginny, Jane

  17. At Valentine's day time there is this mamouth Red heart (made of metal) that says Happy Valentines day on it and is displayed on the strip where all the stores are in our area. My Hubby kept asking me what I would like for Valentines day and I kept kiddingly telling him I wanted that heart. Valentines day we went out to supper and when we came home and I went into our bedroom my husband had gone there at some time and taken a picture of it and then edited it in PSP so that it had our itials and the date on it in addition to the Happy Valentines day. He copied off about 20 of these pictures and had them hanging all over our bedroom , on the bed, on my beuro and just everywhere I looked. It was the sweetest thing I ever saw and certainly proved to me how badly he wanted to give me what I wanted and how much he loved me! I still have the pictures!! God Bless you all, Jane

  23. Dear Mandi, I am so sorry you lost you're Mom at such an early age. I know the heartache of grief and loss and I also know that time does heal. I think it is a wonderful idea to make that book about you're Mom and anyone that looks at it will get a clearer vision of who she was. I dont believe God puts us through this though. I do believe God was there to welcome you're Mom to Heaven when her time on Earth was finished. I have lost a lot of people at an early age (Dad 46, Brother 46, Husband 29) and I felt they were cheated out of a long life and I was cheated in losing them. I feel differently now and believe there was a reason and God had a plan for them. I can only imagine you did not feel you would lose you're Mom so quickly after DX and sometimes that is a blessing in disquise. God works in ways we do not understand and we have to trust him. Oct was such a short time ago I am sure you are in the depths of grief as I was only months after their deaths but time does heal us and we do go on and we do learn to accept our losses. I was 2 weeks from graduating high school when my Dad passed away with a heart attack. I was in such shock and so I am sure was my Mom who was left with 8 children to bring up alone. Someway, somehow she did it, I did it and my siblings did it and I am assured you will too. Give yourself that time to grieve and work through it. We are all here for you Sweetie!! God Bless you all, Jane
