  2. Glad to see by your bio that the last combo of meds seemed to help. Cisplatin is notorious for causing neuropathy. If they need to try it again maybe they could swith back to carbopotin-it seems to work almost as well as it and does not have the neuropathy problems. Good luck Condy

  10. Janice-I am glad to hear his journey is at an end. I KNOW what is liek to lose a parent. My mom with nsclc and dad with heart problems. You will need lots of time to start healing. Be glad you had those last moments with him to say what you felt. Love and prayers Cindy
  11. Your post brings back memories and tears are flowing. The first one I did was in 2001 a few montha after that dreaded diagnosis, I made it around the track in a golf cart-to weak to walk it that year, and the clapping went on and on for all who walked that survivors lap. The next year 2002 I did the key note speech. My family have it taped. I hate it but they won't let me tape over it. I remember all the people clapping, crying, and shaking hands afterwards. Those are times you never forget. The people who put those together are to be commended. I have done a lot of research since those early days and am not happy with how the money is spent by the ACS but I will be forever grateful to the people who are out there each year encouraging 'us' to keep on going. Cindy

    It does Work

Thank God for the results. I agree, only He can make that decision as to when we will leave and go home. NOT a disease. My prayer thru this ordeal has been thru me someone else will come to know that Jesus is the way and I am glad you are doing the same. Love Cindy

  21. I remember my scalp tingling-kind of like a light burning sensation. The first time it happened-hair coming out-I went to the beauty shop and had them cut it short. It all fell out later-within a few weeks. The second time I sat on the back porch and ran my hands thru it and let it blow off in the wind. The birds used it that spring for nests I believe Some of you may remember Jennifer from out near Washington DC, she and I laughed about that one. She did the same thing. Cindy
  22. Just when I thought it was safe!! We have storms popping up all around again tonight!! So much lightening, it is awsume to watch. The radar looks like we are in for it all night! My exchange student from Korea is out back on the porch and is fascinated by it all!! Good luck to all. Cindy
