  1. Petra

    Early confusion

X ray showed lung nodule. Primary care doctor advised CT scan. This was all new and I was upset but the doctor said she had to wrap up visit. I sat in the waiting room awhile gathering myself together. I have no support, socially isolated, financial problems, live alone. I came back to my apartment and climbed into my bed and basically stayed there for 24 hours. I am now more grounded and looking up information online. The most difficult part is going forward on this journey alone. But it is what it is. I realize I need to get organized. I can't get a CT scan unless I make some kind of financial arrangements. I also battle depression. But now the depression has to take a back seat. I feel I need to become organized, efficient, and stoic. Former smoker, over 65...no other major health concerns.
  2. I've just learned that I'm to have an interventional radiology CT-guided biopsy of a lesion in my upper right lung. It would be great to hear from others who've had this procedure. Also, is this as reliable in determining malignancy as having an endoscopic bronchoscopy ultrasound to obtain tissue for biopsy? Thanks in advance.
  3. My name is Sandra. Told by GP I had a 2.3 cm nodule in upper right lung. This showed up in a CT scan. I am awaiting an appointment for a PET scan. I am an asthmatic and an 11 year breast cancer survivor! My world has been turned upside down. Thought I was done with cancer and I am praying I still am. But, I am very concerned!
