Elaine
Excuse me if this info has already been posted. This concerns a test that can be done to see if a patient is likely to respond to Iressa. If so, Iressa can be used as first line therapy. http://www.partners.org/Pharma_Testing_Popup.html
kimblanchard
This is not so easy as it sounds unfortunately. I called Dana Farber (Harvard's cancer center) yesterday to see about having a patient tested. As of now, they will only test patients who are seen for in-person consultation. They are going to notify me when they will be able to liberalize their policy and do testing on patients not seen there. If anyone finds otherwise, PLEASE let me know, I have a patient that I would really like to get tested but she is not interested in going to Boston.
