kitkathi
Hi All, Dad got his results from his PET scan today. 2 spots on his left (I think) lung; it is still localized in the lungs and hasn't spread anywhere else. He was worried more about me than himself. He has decided to continue treament which makes me very happy. They are only going to do chemo. He will have his stent replaced on Tuesday for his heart and then start chemo next Friday. He remains upbeat. This is not the results we were hoping for but we are thankful that they caught it early again. Question: if a recurrence happens and is not outside the lung, is it still considered limited? Thanks for all your prayers. I will be sad today and will refocus my energy tomorrow. Kitkathi
Don Wood
If the recurrence is in the same confined place as the original tumor, it is my understanding that it is considered limited or confined. Only when it occurs in another place from the original tumor, even the other lung, is it considered metastatic. Don

berisa
I think should pay attention on choosing which 2nd line chemo is the most appropriate. What about CPT-11 with Carbo or other regimen? Ask the oncologist.
-Cheryl-
Kit, WE will be sad for you too. Tomorrow is a new day. I heard someone say "I didn't die today, and I probably won't die tomorrow." I like that. All we have really is today, thank you lord for every day is a blessing. You have a wonderful attitude kit. God be with You.
