jcawork
I am curious. Can SCLC ever start somewhere else or is it always just found as a primary of the lung? Thanks, Jen
kimblanchard
The lung is the most common primary site but it can arise in other places. I have personally seen small cell of the cervix, prostate and intestine. There is also a variant of small cell called Merkel cell cancer that starts in the skin. It has reported arising from many other organs as well but those are the only locations I have treated.
