GETTING SMALLER CLUB - I didn't forget, but ...

I decided since it was the holidays that we needed a break. I know I didn't do well at all controlling myself from Thanksgiving to and including today, but I am ready to get back at it again. I didn't even weigh myself this morning.

So, anyway, if anyone wants to report in, especially those of you who had a great month and have a weight loss to report, we would be THRILLED to hear about it. For anyone else who would just as soon not talk about this subject, it's ok this month - you have my permission to remain silent.

However, if anyone would like to post their new weight loss commitments, resolutions, goals, etc., etc., this would be a good time to do it.

Lots of love to all,

Peggy

P.S. For all newbies, we have fun with a little group we call The Getting Smaller Club. On the 1st of each month, I start a thread and we can all brag about our weight losses or whine for obvious reasons.

If you haven’t joined us, please do so.

I think I am a charter member of the getting bigger club and I place all blame on Addie and her delicious peanut brittle....in fact I am snacking on some right now  maybe next month - I have too because I can't fit into the pants my hubby got me for Chrtistmas and he lost the receipt :?

I am resolving to get back to the gym and to quit eating peanut brittle and beer cheese dip and crackers!

I've been eating healthy from the four main food groups: chips, dips, chocolates and cookies...after all, a balanced diet is a cookie in each hand!

Probably no loss here, but I don't think I've gained, either.

Stretch goal is to shed 50 pounds. Realistic goal is to fit into a swimming pool come summer! Uh, yeah...displacing a lot of water...lol

Time for another piece of cheesecake...that has to be healthy - dairy products for calcium....mmmmMMmmmmMMMm

There is no hope for me, I have plenty of will power, it's my WON'T power that is lacking! 8)

I take the Fifth on the weight loss.

We did however, purchase a treadmill and one of my resolutions is to be on it everyday.

Here's a hint: do not, I repeaat, do not look up on the internet how many calories you have to burn to lose one pound. Big mistake...

Maybe we could get a bigger club house, a liquor license, and start serving happy hour.

Lost some ground here this month, too, but I just have to get control of myself and in more than one way. Time to shape up somewhat somehow. I will think about it. Grin. Margaret

I take the 5th, too. In fact, I'm rather proud that I've gained no more than one pound. :? As Scarlett O'Hara says (and I heartily agree), "Tomorrow is another day!" I'll hope to have better news to report by Feb. 1.

No weight lose this month, but getting back on the wagon tomorrow. My sister is getting married July 30th, this year and we all(Cindy, a friend Angie, and I )and some others are raising the stakes! We all are putting $5.00 into the pot and whoever looses the most weight by then gets the money. The catch is that for every pound you gain, you have to put IN a quarter. So who knows, someone might make a lot of money!!! Good luck to everyone!

No report that is any good here either, except.. hmm I think that cheesecake is a great source of protein too, and happy hour.. that doesn't sound bad either..

Really though, tomorrow is the end of the line for me too.

Here's to a good report for all of us Feb.1!!

For any of you who are interested the Discovery Channel is starting their 2005 National Body Challenge on Jan. 15th. If you register, they have all sorts of on-line tools available (free) for the 8 wk period. I am going to give it a whirl and see if I can truly change my eating habits :). I am including the link in case you want to check it out....it also includes a free 8wk trial membership to Bally's Gym's.

I don't have a scale here at my sisters so I'm not sure how much I have lost but can feel it in my clothes. Of course I've had nausea so not eating much helps the process. Going home to Alaska on Thursday. Once home I'll be in touch more.

All my best...Rachel
