stephnewyork34
This was on my Mom's funeral notice and I just sent it to Sharon, but then I thought maybe everyone won't read it, and it has helped me, Also it is soooo my Mom, for all that knew her would agree. I hope it helps you also. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky![/b]

patut
I like that. Some of the words on certain sympathy cards I have received are so special too. I keep several close to me to read again and again. When I lost my mother though the best idea that came across to me were some words from Carly Simond that she wrote after she lost her own mother… "I'll wait no more for you like a daughter, that part of our life together is over, but I will wait for you forever…like a river……………………………………"
