Marlon
My mom's CT scan again came back clean. The only problem area was the scar tissue at the bottom of the lung she had surgery on. Dr. Mike said no evidence of any tumor though. I asked him again if she needs an MRI or something but he said she doesn't need one because she's not showing symptoms of brain mets. He did say that they usually keep the chemo ports in for a year(!) She has to get it flushed every few months. Anyone heard of that before? Its weird. daggiesmom
Hooray Marlon, some GOOD NEWS for you and Mom for a change. I don't know about ports, maybe someone else can help you with that. But had to root for your good news! Joanie
Cindy RN
I had my port put in 2/2001 and have had it about 2 1/2 yrs. I get it flushed every 4 weeks when not on chemo. Works great. I plan on keeping it til I HAVE to give it up!
