Donna G Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 http://theoncologist.alphamedpress.org/ ... ll/4/5/398 Scroll down, they diagram ANTERIOR approaches. I thought this was interesting. How many of us have an incision other than the smiley down our back? Donna G Quote
karen335 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Thanks Donna, Very interesting. I didn't and couldn't have surgery. I have a friend I worked with who is a 17year lc survivor. Dx in 1986 and recur 1995. Been clean since. God truly blessed her. God bless, prayers and hugs, Karen PS- Have you heard from Connie? Is she back from Vegas? Quote
Donna G Posted March 31, 2005 Author Posted March 31, 2005 It will be a couple more weeks before we see Connie. She has an appointment with the doctor the end of the month so I know she will be coming. Boy I bet she misses the grandkids. Donna G Quote

Snowflake Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I looked at all the pictures and did not find the cut that I have. I do not have the smiley on my back, my cut begins about mid-rib on my back and follows the rib line around and ends under my arm just behind my right breast. Interesting pictures, though. BIIIIGGGG words, too. Quote
chloesmom Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I have the Snowflake incision. It's about 4" long. I also have two small scars right below that one where they put in the chest tubes. They, of course, are right on the line of the bottom of my bra. Could not have been placed more acurately. Not complaining, just kind of ironic. Cindy Quote
Wendy Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Interesting! Mine isn't the traditional either, Mine is parallel with my left arm. Starts about 2 inches down from my arm pit and is about 6 " long. Wouldn't know it was there unless I lifed my arm. Wendy Quote
