Restaging And Treatment Options

Bill

Does anybody know if when cancer is restaged due to improvement ( as in my wife's case from stage 4 NSCLC ) do the tx options ( incl. surgery ) change accordingly OR do the tx options remain unchanged from the original dx ?

Thanks.

Bill,

I believe that re-staging can change future treatments. I've heard of people having surgery after tumor changes due to treatment. I think there are a few here, but my memory ain't what it used to be. I'm sure someone will pipe up with names soon.

Sure was glad to read your news this evening!

Becky
