Linus
Well, thank you to all who advised me on getting my mother back in for new scans since her bought with stage 4, 7 months ago. The scans all came back negative. The Dr. has not really said anything to us about her being "cured" or in remission. What usually qualifies a remission? The primary tumor was never found. She had a brain tumor and was treated with WBR and Temodar as chemo for brain tumors. Thanks to all of you and may you also be found in good health! stand4hope
Hi Linus, I'm so glad to hear your mom's scans were negative. I think remission means NED (no evidence of disease), and of course, stable means it's still there, but not active. So, if by negative, he meant NED, then that's very good news. Did you get copies of the written reports? That's always a good idea. Buy your mom a hot fudge sundae and celebrate! Love, Peggy
Maryanne
Wow, that is wonderful news!! Take you mom out to some place really special and celebrate. A day at the spa for both of you would be a nice touch. Keep the good news coming. Maryanne
