Anais
Yesterday was my mother's birthday, she would be 62. Is it normal to feel awful on this day? I was doing some volunteering in a colloquium (more than 200 people) and my mind was elsewhere... Anaïs
teresag
Anais, yes, your feelings are normal. "Anniversary dates", like holidays, are very hard for grieving people. With time, your beloved mother's birthday will become less painful. It's good that you were busying yourself with other things, but understandable that you couldn't keep your mind on them. The grief that sneaks up on us can be especially harsh. Peace to you, Teresa
