Hello,

Thank you for this site and the opportunity to share our experiences and feelings after being faced with this difficult life hurdle. None of us want to be here, however sharing and caring for others is a great way to release some of our own emotional pain.

I am a 50 year old office manager for the continuing education department of a local two year college. I have 2 wonderful, grown children. Dusty is a newspaper reporter and Dena is an English/French high school teacher. Their father and I were married for 32 years. We separated 3 years ago and were divorced 7 months before he died this past March from a blood clot to his lung following a motorcycle accident in Mexico. When I found out my diagnosis, all I could think was “this is too soon for my kids.â€

Welcome Mandy; ti looks to me that you may just have squeked by in catching the cnacer before it spread. It is good that you are doing follow up radiation and chemo just to make sure.

I am glad you were able to have surgery and that they caught your cancer before it went too far. Good luck with the rest of your treatment plan. Welcome to the group.

Welcome Mandy,

You have just joined a wonderful, caring, online "family of friends". People here certainly can relate and understand the physical and mental trauma cancer brings into our lives.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. It sounds like you are one of the "lucky" ones who could have surgery . Many here have been through the followup radiation and chemotherapy, so they will be here to assist you if you have any questions. Sending you lots of prayers as you go into your next phase of treatment.

God Bless,

Sue
