DeniseC
Your story caught my eye because my mom recently was given the same diagnosis. It is great news that your dad is doing so well and gives me hope. I have went through so many ranges of emotions and in the meantime putting on a brave face for my mom. I always feel like I should be doing more some way to comfort her or make her more relaxed and less stressed, any suggestions? Thank you. Leslie221
Jamie, Thank you for sharing your story. I was smiling by the end because it's obvious you've grown a lot as a person since this all started. Good work! You are a good role model and I hope your posts will inspire and encourage others. They did me! Leslie
Maryanne
I just read Jamies story and it was so encouraging. We here at this site knows that stastics doesn't mean anything. I wish Jamie continued success with his upcoming operation. Also, there are so many people who have stopped smoking 10, 20, 30 years ago who still develop LC and Iam talking a pretty big stastistic here. So your dad might have come down with it anyway. I pray all goes well with his operation, Iam so happy that that is finally going to happern. He is a lucky guy that it got to a poing that he can have this operation. Sending prayers his way.
