Leslie221 Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 We looked at the x-ray together and it was obvious the original tumor is just a loosely defined little whisp! Can't see much else in either lung! WHOO... Wait! It gets better! The doctor actually slapped his thigh and laughed when he read the radiologist's report of Friday's x- ray. He said, "You've got to have a copy of this" (I just love him!)and gave me one. It said, "PA and lateral views show no obvious nodules or masses at this time. The lungs appear clear and no pleural fluid is seen. Impression: Negative chest" Whoo... Not yet! It get's even better! Dr. Witta said we'll do a CT scan next month and if things still look this good, I only have to go up to see him every other month! Okay now! WOOOOHOOOO!!! Mark and I were so happy! I think it means the Iressa and Tarceva stopped the cancer's growth and spread for 7 months and now it is actually reducing what was there to just small, almost invisible groups of cells. Which may stay at this level, shrink further, or grow depending on how I continue to respond to Tarceva.
