rmm17
My Mom has her first appt. with the oncologist on Monday, and i am going to try and go with her. She has very little info at this point about her future treatment. Do you recommend any questions i should be sure to ask? I'm really nervous. berisa
it's a good idea to be with her. In a sense, you can be her support. How old is your mother? I guess oncologist will tell you and your mom in details during first meeting. S/He may tell you what kind of chemo regimen for your mom, how many times of lung radiation (once per day / twice per day) will do PCI or not, what should your mom pay attention to during receiving chemo. What side effects chemo may cause etc. Hope the above information may help. Take care of your mom's emotions is important too especially during the inital stage after diagnosis. Don Wood
I agree -- it is always a good idea to have a second pair of ears and ask questions. Don
