You have had to become an adult overnight and deal with something most of your friends cannot really comprehend. You're right, it is hard on our kids - my two teenage sons just lost their dad two weeks ago. But you have shown your strength and courage just by coming here and your compassion for others with your post. Your mother had to leave, but I think she knew that you are a very special young woman with the resources to go on to a wonderful future.
