I was in touch with the Lung Cancer Alliance last week and asked that they put me in touch with one of their support people who has the same type of cancer as me. Of course I have a ton of questions, as well as being curious of their journey with SCLC. Well, this evening I received a phone call from a wonderful woman in NY (Toni) that was dx with SCLC...get this...13 1/2 YEARS AGO!!! She went through her chemo/rad treatments, then PCI, and has been NED ever since. We didn't talk long, as I had a house full of people, but she is calling me back on Friday. I am so anxious to talk to her more....what an inspiration! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving ~ we all have lots to be thankful for!
