daggiesmom Posted December 25, 2005 Share Posted December 25, 2005 Thankfully, they were able to extubate this morning and did not need to do a trach. Joanie is still groggy from two weeks of heavy sedation but she was able to respond and understand what was being said for the most part. She kept wanting to take off the oxygen mask & said to me a couple of times, "Let's get out of here." I can't say that I blame her. She's on the road to recovery & I'm confident that tomorrow will be even better. Thanks again for all your prayers & good wishes.
