Jyoung20 Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 Hey everyone!! Just wanted to let you know that I have 8 verbal commitments from various middle and high school bands. That's about 500 people. We are anticipating around 1500 or more in attendance. I am so excited and so are the kids. We are working on donations this month. We are selling ads in the program, sponsorship opportunities and memorials and honorariums. If you are interested in any of these, please let me know. I have to turn everything over to the graphic artist by February 17th. The event is scheduled for March 4th from 9:00 - 6:00. Other things happening: Memphis Sound Drum Corp will give a brass and percussion clinic to the kids. Various clinicians will offer workshops for directors. Jazz combo will be performing for lunch entertainment. And, we are working on getting a very special guest to perform at the awards ceremony. If you know any famous musicians that would do this, let me know!! We are open to any help and suggestions. Thanks everyone for being there to help.
