Jyoung20 Posted January 5, 2006 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Hey Sam, I don't know how much this will help. I had a hilar lymph node enlarged also. I was located on the right side of my mediastinum. I believe you have hilar lymph nodes on both sides. GOD BLESS!! Jamie I would probably get a second opinion before I wait. Did you have a mediastinoscopy? A CT or Pet scan. Any kind of biopsy? john Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Like people said the hilar nodes are in the center of the chest where the windpipe splits. If only the hilar nodes are affected that is a fairly good sign. If it is the first few hilar nodes it could be stage I or II. Sometimes a surgeon will save node 9, 10 is affected.
