melindasue37
Hello to everyone!!! I was just wondering if anyone else (can't remember reading anything about this on here) has problems with hoarseness after chemo. It seems that about three days after each treatment she starts getting very hoarse. I was just wondering if anyone might know why this happens or if it is a common side effect from treatment. Warm Hugs, Melinda

J.C.
Melinda, Many people have hoarseness during and after chemo, some lose it after a while and others keep a bit of horseness all the time. This I notice often with the people that I visit during their treatments some have prescriptions for it, still some use salt in water to gargle. The reason I do not know. Best to you Jackie
jorja
Hi Melinda, When my dad was going through chemo he DID have hoarseness. It would last for a while then he would be better but as soon has he got chemo it would start back up again. Hope that makes you feel better. love, jorja
