NavyDave Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Hi, I'm just curious if anyone else out there that has personally chosen, or had a family member choose to forego conventional treatments, and if so what course of action are they taking? Thanks, Dave Quote
Ry Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I can't recall anyone doing only unconventional treatment--most have done various things after chemo. I recall one member that did IV vitamin C and another that did vitamin IV's. Some have gone with RFA but I don't necessary think that's unconventional. If you search the site and read through the alternative treatment forum you should get some ideas. Do you have a holistic doctor in your area you could consult with? Good luck to you and your mom. sunshinenys Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 check out alternative treatments forum. I just posted info on that one Quote
Alisa Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Hi NavyDave. I have an excellent doctor who not only is an M.D. who specializes in cancer, but he also practices traditional chinese medicine and other integrative practices. He's not way out there like some alternative doctors. He's also somewhat conventional and evidenced based, but his specialty is CAM treatment in cancer patients. And he's in New York City. PM me if you want his contact info. Quote
sunshinenys Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Congrats!!! That is an excellent story. Yes, who is the doctor you used in NYC? Are you still taking supplements; what is your regimen? I am also a single mom of twin boys-age 20 months. How old are yours? Lot of work, huh? Quote
Alisa Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Dear SunshineNYS: I just PM'd you, so not to take up the board's space for our talk. Quote
