GREENSBORO -- Deborah Alice Lano Hunt Wallin, born on Dec. 16, 1956, in Holyoke, Mass., passed away on Jan. 23, 2006, after a long battle with lung cancer.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, where a funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday with interment to follow at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro.

She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and daughter-in-law. She was married on Feb. 16, 1997, to her husband Randal Scott whom she met at the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, Randal Scott; her puppy dawg, Daisy; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jessie Wallin and Ralph A. Wallin; her brothers, Frederick, Allen, and Kenneth Hunt; her sisters, Pam Hurley and husband James and Carroll Hoskins; her sister-in-law, Heidi Kay Gerhardt and husband Karl Gerhardt; her nieces and nephews, Kaitlin Hunt, Daniel and Michael Hurley, Tammy Hoskins, and Luke and Kayla Gerhardt; and her many friends. Her interests were in gardening, art and feeding birds and animals. She graduated from Boynton Beach High School in Boynton Beach, Fla., and she served in the U.S. Air Force.

In lieu of flowers, requests can be made to the American Lung Association - "Breathe Deep - Breathe Clear".
