Ry Posted February 3, 2006 Share Posted February 3, 2006 I'm there voicing my opinion. I have been to so many township and city meetings in this area they hate to see me coming. Before John's diagnosis I was the secretary for our lake association and had to go to lots of meetings concerning things that would impact our lake. I have become very involved at the hospital Alan has been treated at, sitting on a couple of committees. So at this time in my life I might be more inclined to get involved in other issues. Years ago, I learned that I had to "fight" the system to always see that his educational needs were met. I learned that one person CAN make a difference. I don't do well confronting people, so to be honest, if I didn't write a letter, I would probably stay out of it and then complain about it later.
