Larry,

I got the book today, (big one)

after a friend changed the diet

of her husband that needed three

operations for his heart in one

month (July last year) now he is

doing very well....operations or

the new diet, I don't know.

Dr. D'Adamo has a naturopathic practice

in Stamford, Connecticut.

Ask the questions and I'll see what answers

I could find.

That will make me read it faster.

I've heard of it, and I have to say the description of the problems people with my type face was dead-on - but I am not following. I do know I am made to eat meat, THANK GOD.

For type O

Type Os should severely restrict the use of dairy products. Their system is not designed for the proper metabolism. If you are a Type O of African ancestry, you should eliminate dairy foods and eggs altogether.

Characteristics of

Type O

Best on High Protein Diet

Thrive on intense physical exercise and animal proteins

Do not do well with dairy and grain products

Hardy digestive tract

The leading factor in weight gain for Type Os is the gluten found in wheat germ and whole wheat products.

Type O have a tendency to have low levels of thyroid hormone and unstable thyroid functions, which cause metabolic problems and weight gain.

Type O have high stomach-acid content, can digest meat easily.

These vegetables irritate the digestive tract and the high mold count can aggravate Type O hypersensitivity problems.

These vegetables can cause arthritic conditions in Type Os

Nightshades: eggplant, potatoes

This vegetable affect the production of insulin, often lead to obesity and diabetes for the Type Os.

Corn

This fruit agglutinate all blood types but Type Os.

Here you are Type AB

Type ABs can tolerate dairy foods fairly well. But watch out for excessive mucus production.

Generally Type ABs do well on grains, even wheat, but keep in mind that the inner kernel of the wheat grain is highly acid forming in the muscle for Type ABs. Type AB benefits from a diet rich in rice rather than pasta.

Type ABs has a weaker immune system, so you will benefit from the vegetables, which are high in phytocheicals and the more alkaline fruits, which can help to balance the grains that are acid forming in the muscle tissues. Tomatoes do not impose any ill effects on Type ABs.

Type AB should begin each day by drinking a glass of warm water with the freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon to cleanse the system of mucus accumulated while sleeping.

Best on Mixed Diet in moderation
