My husband is planning a trip to Spain. I am very concerned because everything I have read indicates that you need to let the airline know as they have to have oxygen ready for you. Also, depending on your circulation, too long a flight could put you at risk for a blood clot, and then last but not least is the issue of leaving the United States. Medical insurance doesn't seem to be available for medi-vaccing you back to the US if you have a pre-existing condition. Let me know if you know otherwise because my husband is planning on flying out of the country regardless. He has not consulted his doctors or the airlines and I don't even know about how he will fare with taking medication with him. Even when we went to Canada we had a problem with him taking narcotics. If you have any information or experience with this let me know. Thanks!

Hello Maryann,

You already have the links posted

by our friend. He is very good with

finding the right links.

Yes it is doable with a sickness,

a lot of preparation have to be done first

with the approval of his doctors he could

have a good trip and that may change his

outlook on his sickness for the best.

For the medication during travels out of

the States contact the travel agency and

the health section of the center where he

is treated and with the proper papers all

should be easy.

xo
