ginnyde
Here is the info from the Lungevity site Sunday, April 9, 2006 12:00 Noon University of Michigan Diag Last April was the 1st Annual Find Your Breath Walk-a-Thon in Ann Arbor benefiting the LUNGevity Foundation. Over 200 participants -- including U of M students and members of the Ann Arbor and metro Detroit communities – gathered in the Diag for a rally. The featured speaker was Missy Lumberg Zagon, a U of M alumna who founded LUNGevity five years ago when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. We then walked through the streets of Ann Arbor, proclaiming our support for research funds and the need for a cure. The walk marked the culmination of several months of fundraising efforts, during which ten teams of walkers raised more than $10,000 for the LUNGevity Foundation. This spring we hope to surpass last year’s success. Help make strides in the fight against lung cancer.
