RandyW
Roche files Avastin in US for common lung cancer Wed Apr 12, 2006 1:47 AM ET Printer Friendly | Email Article | Reprints | RSS ZURICH (Reuters) - Switzerland's Roche (ROG.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) filed its Avastin cancer drug in the United States for treatment of non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer, the most common form of the disease, the drug-maker said on Wednesday. "Avastin is the first and only treatment in more than a decade to have shown a survival benefit in this patient population," Roche said. Roche produces Avastin together with its majority-owned U.S. biotech arm Genentech Inc (DNA.N: Quote, Profile, Research). I believe that will benefit a lot of people here If I read it the right way!!!
tnmynatt
It was a big help to Charlie. I disagree with their statement about it being the only drug showing benefit in the last decade. As we know, there have been some other really good drugs including Tarceva and Alimta.
