Remembering Dave Posted May 11, 2006 Share Posted May 11, 2006 thank you for letting us know about him. I don't get on this website very much since my husband died, but I felt that Schmay sort of took the humor over where Dave left off. in fact, he and I exchanged thoughts recently which got me back on the board, because of him. it sounds to me like he had a heart attack. I think that is what really killed Dave. he was in a coma-like state and in so much pain, and breathing like a locomotive for two days straight - pushing out breath with all his might - and I think his heart just wore out from the exertion.
