THIEVES stole a baby’s pram from the family of a two-year-old undergoing cancer treatment.

Jake Ellis, from Pembroke Close, Barrow, is being given chemotherapy for a small cancer in his lung — his second fight with the condition in his short life.

His family have to make a 200-mile round trip to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital at least once a week.

The pram, belonging to his younger brother Luke, was stolen from the boot of the family’s car, which was parked outside their hotel.

The boys' mother Jo-Ann Ellis said she was horrified by the theft.

She said: "Obviously they didn't know they were breaking into a car that was a cancer patient's but at the same time they shouldn't go around taking people's prams."
