keo4
Hi, I forgot to add that my dad has quit smoking several years ago (cold turkey), which was the day that I was most proud of him. Kathi
Karen
Just wanted to say that was nice to read. My father-in-law tried to quit at least 5 times over the last 13 years and finally was able to kick it on the 6th try. He hadn't smoked for almost a year when the cancer was diagnosed. (Now my brother-in-law who chews tobacco thinks that if he quits it will speed up his getting some sort of cancer. I don't quite get that. If you are able to stop putting more carcinogens in your body it can't be a bad thing, right? He just somehow has rationalized that the cancer always shows up when folks quit so maybe he should never quit. Ay yi yi) Anyway, the fact that your dad was able to do it cold turkey is quite commendable! Remind him to use the "mind over matter" trick he used to quit cold turkey while battling this beast. Positive attitude is HUGE! Peace~ Karen M.
