kreed70 Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 My mom has always been a nut about her hair so this is so hard for her! Especially since it didn't fall out during heavy duty chemo. But she has been on Tarceva since July 2005. She is losing it around the crown and almost looks like male pattern baldness in the monk look. It is coming out in clumps. Any thoughts?? Could it be the medicine taken for the ulcers?? Tarceva?? Delayed reaction from IV chemo?? Thanks!! Kelly Quote
RandyW Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Could be any of thse I think. Deb lost hers after 5 rounds of chemo everything in th med cabinet before she lost hers. Wig is tax deductible or ask onc to prescribe a Cranial Prosthesis. DEb had wig for around town and dew rag for around the house. Hope that helps some. could be any of those. Saying prayers. Quote
kamataca Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 My mom has male pattern baldness, too but she had rasiation on her skull. She is slowly regrowing hair again, but it is more gray and wavy. We've teased her about her 'combover' for awhile now. Kelly Quote
