Leaving early morning for 10 days of resting, relaxing, and listening to the loons out on the lake. I will miss you all. Please take care.

jealous! Is that Big Sandy by Park Rapids/Nevis, Donna? If it is, you have to go to Companeros, right?

Or is it Big Sand by Aitkin?

Either way, can't lose. Though, I love Nevis' Big Sandy for fishing. And Big Sand for skiing. (usta anyway)

Have a wonderful vacation.

Well Donna, is it by Aitkin or Park Rapids/whatever that other town is/was? I've been to Big Sandy by Aitkin. About 57 years ago. Has it changed?

Have a great trip.

This looks like a definite little piece of heaven on earth, Donna. I hope you have a wonderful time. Try and send some rest and relaxation vibes my way while you're there. Enjoy your trip. Looking forward already to having you back with us!

I'm back! Boy was it gorgeous. My husband just put his line in the water and got a bite. It was a Walleye ( catch and release) several minutes later he felt a tug on the line and he pulled out a Northern!

Our dogs thought being on Big Sandy was great, run out the door and jump in the lake. They had lots of fun.

It was so nice. The only sounds were the loons, the birds, the breeze through the leaves on the trees.

We went to Savannah State park, just a few miles up the road and hiked around one of the lakes there.

The weather was perfect.
