With your attitude EVERYTHING is possible! Thanks for being such a continuing inspiration to all of us here on the boards. God bless and heal you. Carleen
Rich you are so amazing to me. How do you do it? "Spirits are good", you are so strong and such a force to be reckoned with. You will beat this thing. I just simply love your attitude and have so much love for you Rich! I am saying extra prayers that the leg heal up quickly and that the Alimta be your magic bullet. EastCoastLadi
Rich, I know you will do just fine, you're around my neck of the woods, ( so I'm thinking you're in pretty good hands!) and I know that the way my husband has been treated, I couldn't ask for anything better... Keeping my prayers going for a fast healing and onto Alimta..... Grace
shineladysue
Rich, Sorry about the Tarceva, but wish you the best with the Alimta. You have a lot of information here to read about Alimta. Not to put a downer on it, but if you begin to experience shortness of breath, know that it can be the Alimta and insist that it be checked out asap. Early intervention with prednisone can possibly reverse the damage that may have occurred. About the leg, I have lymphedema in my legs and have recently gone through getting my legs healed from numerous ulcers. I will forever live with the swelling, but hope I never go through that again. I went to a wound care specialist (was referred by my internist) and it took about 3-4 weeks of dressings put on ulcers and getting bandaged with compression bandages every 6 or 7 days. Spending a lot of my time with my feet elevated above my heart is what it took.... less computer time . I now wear compression stockings morning to night, have to restrict salt and fluids. In my case weight loss will help, but I have my work cut out for me there. My best to you. Love, Sue

Doughnut
Here's hoping that they sort your leg out quickly so that you can get on with your battle. Alimta seems to be having some good results. You have a truly amazing spitit. Your quiet determination to just get on with things and take what life throws at you is really inspiring and makes me ashamed of some of the things I whinge about. Looking forward to the next picture from that lovely daughter of yours Dee

gail p-m
Rich Sorry that Tarceva has quit on you. I know it had been your "magic bullet" for quite awhile. But there is no doubt that with your strength and attitude, you'll find your next "Magic Bullet".
