teetlee
For those who were interested in the list of doctors and hospitals doing rfa, I found the list under a post I did on rfa in the late stage nsclc forum. If you find the post I did and scroll down there is a list that Cary had posted. Hope this helps. Teet

natalie
I'm a new one here on the board so please forgive me, but what is RFA? My mom possibly has mets to liver now. Also, what does NED mean? Thanks for your feedback!
ginnyd
Natalie, RFA = Radio Frequency Ablation - from what I understand they use radio waves instead of surgery to get rid of tumor. Not everyone is eligible. NED = No Evidence of Disease = GOOD NEWS My husbands profile looks very similar to your Mother's so please ask me any questions you want - you can email directly if you would prefer. natalie
Thank you Ginny ! I noticed we had similar profiles too. I will take you up on the advice! You noted that your husband had a right lobectomy. We discovered my moms brain mets before we found out it was lung cancer. The cancer is in her right upper lung too. I'm going to the oncologist with my mom on Thurs to ask more questions, but did your husband have the lung surgery AFTER the craniotomy? I'm wondering if my mom could have surgery.
