kamataca Posted July 10, 2006 Share Posted July 10, 2006 I worried about this for a week, contacted you all and *POOF* the problem went away! As a few suggested. Mom's Medicare will pay for most of this. She did check the right box long ago, apparently, and chemo is considered "major medical" and not "drugs". We just got the call from the Dr. office after lunch. As you can imagine, this was a big relief to Mom (and all of us). She goes in for her first round on Wednesday. Just remember, your mom will have some minor financial responsibility with this as posted in your other thread -- if that's predicted to be a problem at all for your mom, please check into reasonable supplemental plans that may be available through AARP or another senior advocacy group.
