Is there any way to call members in my local calling area?

Hi, I'm a new member and just learning how to use this site. Is there a way to call people in my local calling area (which is Kansas City, MO)?

Dear Cherbut,

In order to connect with some of our members who live near to me I contacted them by private message and or email. We made arrangements to meet in that way. We met in public places, and exchanged personal information with one another in advance of meeting. We have to use caution, but meeting some of the folks from the Southern California area has been a wonderful thing. I look forward to the time when we can form a Lung Cancer Specific Support Group in our local areas.

A good idea is to post like you have, that you would like to talk to people in your area from the group. That way if they are interested, they can contact you and exchange phone information. Private message is a good way to extend the board to a more personal level.
