kreed70
Good news! My mom's scan came back stable! I had a bit a of a medical coup as well!! I see that many people are on Zometa but my mom was never offered it, so I mentioned it to her onc who thoughtfully said, "That's not a bad idea." By the end of the appointment he was prescribing it for her!! She will get it in a few weeks. He said they don't use it a lot there which I found odd and I also wonder why she wasn't put on it awhile ago. She still isn't really feeling any results from the last cyberknife is June and won't as the time frame it works in is long over. Maybe Zometa will help. It's noce to keep the drs on their toes now and again. That is a good reminder for the rest of us as well. Kelly
Don M
Thanks for sharing your good news Kelly. It must be particularly satisfying to have participated in the decison to put your mom on zometa. It does seem odd that they don't usally do it there though. don m

joanie55
Kelly, Oh I just love good news. Wonderful! I've also been on Zometa since the beginning. Just ask your Doc about a recent study. They've actually lowered my usual dosage because of that. Nothing to worry about, but just to keep informed. Joan
