Linda661
Thought this link could be useful with the number of our folks having (or had) problems with hospice care. Before filing a formal complaint, it's best to familiarize yourself with the federal regulations governing hospice organizations and what the inspectors look for -- links to that information is provided in the link I am providing here: http://www.hospicepatients.org/cmplnt.html In the interest of bettering quality of care for our loved ones, it's worth reporting bad situations -- from what I've found so far, state inspectors only are required to pull a very few files to audit a hospice on -- like 8 are required for a hospice that enrolled over 1,000 patients in the prior 12 months! (not a lot). Linda
