Cindy RN
Try to stay calm. I know that easy to say. So many of the meds we take can effect the electrolytes. I am sure they just want to recheck it and treat the high pot. if it is still high. Treatment is MORE meds.

Anniemac
Yes, Tim's pot. runs high. The onc thought his kidney was having a problem with the chemo, and the kidney doctor thought so too, but it doesn't seem to be the case. He's taking a medication to lower it and avoiding fruit. So far they don't know what it is, but if your docs come up with something, please post it. I'll do the same. Annie
Guest
milk and yogurt and certain nutritional supplements ( milk based can be high in potassium too- some people can easiely consume 4 cups of milk a day -- and that can be the cause. hth
